Assembling Cultural and Natural Values in Vernacular Landscapes: An Experimental Analysis

Cultural landscapes can host natural and cultural areas. However, often, this distinction is not clear cut the attempts to clarify blur character of landscapes. Vernacular today act as a living legacy, subject transformation, preservation, or abandonment. This study analyses these legacies in order evaluate elements interactions. The research uses GIS with spatial thematic databases heritage habitats, well open data, historical cartography, citizen participation, fieldwork information sources. In combination tools, LiDAR images helped dataset evaluation process. A priority scale conservation for different areas was outlined through process cataloguing assets intervention rubrics. These settings are classified according their value, conservation, surrounding environment, potential threats. experimental methodology aims add new options characterising vernacular by adding soft participatory values datasets. prove be reliable complementary information, improving accuracy.
